Almadesign worked in collaboration with Tap Air Portugal to create the cabin identity for the innovative Airbus Airspace cabin. The project began with the articulation of all suppliers, from the OEM to seat and liner manufacturers. The intervention focused on the design of the seats, lavatories, lighting and branding of the airline. The definition of all cabin color, materials and trim – side and top panels, monuments, carpets, non textile flooring, class dividers and galley – privileges a bright environment with neutral tones and color details.
The Economy Class applies a “smart freshness” concept, integrating texture rich materials and colourful details while the Economy Plus class integrates natural leather in a more spacious luxury embroidered seats. The Business Class refers to a “Mediterranean luxury” theme, reinforcing the feeling of “comfort at home” through the choice of textured natural fabrics and wood finishes. The project developed the Brand identity and the repositioning of TAP’s service in its long-term growth strategy.
