The DOSEA project aimed to develop an innovative packaging solution to support medication intake. Using innovative smart packaging, printed electronics, and IoT technologies, we developed smart labels for alerting the need to take medication and its indicated dosage, and for monitoring that intake.

 

The purpose of the concept is to help patients, especially seniors, to take their medication at the right time, and provide feedback to doctors and caregivers. With the activities developed in the Dosea project, the consortium led by NEUTROPLAST, together with the companies Beyond Devices and Centi, created three innovative products that allow the patient to monitor adherence to a medication regime thus contributing to the mitigation of a worldwide problem and boosting the regional and national economy.
