Modseat project presented

MODSEAT has an innovative, modular, versatile and personalized design with new processes and materials for regional/intercity trains. The final presentation of the project took place on the 30th of September, at Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon.

This is an entirely Portuguese initiative, the result of a consortium led by MCG and composed of Almadesign, ERT, Instituto Superior Técnico and SETsa.

This new seat brings significant improvements to passenger and rail operator comfort when compared to other seats on the market. With its more robust construction, it manages to be even lighter and more comfortable, with headrest and side cushions for a smooth ride, footrest and armrests. It is also equipped with power supplies for mobile devices.
