Design of the control bridge console for future ISN lifeboats.

Almadesign collaborated with Alfeite Shipyards to develop the concept of the bridge design, combining light and resistant metal structure and composite materials, while maintaining the requirements and technical specifications for the type of vessel. Concept studies and development of the control conole geometry were carried out to integrate all required equipment, giving priority to functionality, ergonomics and human-machine interface (HMI), formal/aesthetic integration and engineering and manufacturing technologies. With safety and comfort of use as the main drivers, Almadesign developed a concept that integrates safety handles in key areas of the console, making them accessible, visible, and aesthetically appeling. The equipment is arranged considering the reach, free space, and visibility for operation at sea, combining all technical functions with and integrated, enveloping form, carefully tailored to the pilotin terms of ergonomics.
