ISEAT project is the outcome of a conceptual seat for long distance and high speed trains using integrated, lightweight, comfortable and eco-efficient solutions. The seat design highlights the flowing lines which form the key areas of passenger comfort, in turn, suspended from the structural and functional volumes. The seat design incorporates a formal language that enhances the suspended "flying carpet" lightness of the whole and makes use of advanced lightweight materials and natural coatings. The project brought together the expertise of companies and a R&D organization: Amorim Cork Composites, Caetano Components, Couro Azul, INEGI, together with Almadesign and ALSTOM. The project also had the participation of Nibble and CIN.
