In the context of recent epidemiological situations, telemedicin has gained even more relevance.

Adherence to telemedicine results from the limitations of health systems but also from the population's natural fear of going to health facilities, combined with need for a diagnosis. The project aimed to develop a portable healthcare device that integrates biosensor medicval equipment that communicates with a telemedicine computer application to equip key locations without medical assistance. Almadesign collaborated with doctors, nurses, and IT companies to integrate into a single but scalable product, the medical equipment needed for a routine consultation. The project developed in collaboration with MED-LINKARE, GMV and INEGI was finance by Portugal 2020 within the scope of the Competitiveness and Internalization Operational Program through the European Regioal Development Fund.
